Archipel (pro)Log is an original guidebook where Japanese artists introduce the locations behind their inspiration and memories.

For the first installment of this guidebook, Mai Yoneyama & Ryu Okubo, two artists from the animation field bring us to locations in Tokyo and its direct vicinity, from a sand beach on the seaside to a coffee shop in the urban jungle of Shibuya, or a walk through the narrow alleys of a typical Japanese yokochō.

Archipel Log is not a typical touristic guide, nor a series of artist portraits in editorial form, it stands however as an alternative window into the lives of contemporary creatives in Japan, through the locations behind their inspiration, memories or daily habits.
